I was so excited the day the Benedict Family moved to Atlantic Street! I knew there were other "kids" ... they had a station wagon like ours! I went up the street and introduced myself to Joan. We immediately became best of friends and were nearly inseparable throughout high school. A special "sister of the heart" kind of friendship that holds a place in our hearts for a lifetime. May Joan rest in the arms of the angels. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
