Mission & Goal

It's our mission to provide affordable, DIY-style services to our community. We aim to provide a sense of control in a very challenging time in your life. Memorial’s Online-Only approach allows your loved one’s death to be handled with the same excellent care of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, but at a reduced cost to you. We help you with the legalities of laying your loved one to rest, so that when they pass you can be at ease and celebrate them in your own way without worry.

We do not plan services, write obituaries, file for life insurance, or provide any services beyond the direct cremation. Memorial is a Do-It-Yourself process. We help you meet the legalities related to reporting a death, so that you can be at ease and focus on celebrating your loved one in your own way.

However, if you are looking for more of a helping hand with planning — including guidance, funeral services, and print materials — please visit our parent company, J.T. Morriss & Son. They are a full-service funeral home in four locations: Hopewell, Chester, Dinwiddie, and Petersburg. They will be able to assist you every step of the way.
