Obituary of Johnny Benton Reynolds

Johnny Benton Reynolds of Hopewell, VA went to be with the Lord and Savior on February 2, 2012, peacefully at his home surrounded by family. He was born on September 2, 1928 to the late Oyma K. and Rosa Clark Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by is great granddaughter, Amber Paige Smith and great grandson, Brandon Gene Parker. He was a devoted husband father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a retired construction worker of R. J. Beasley and a member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley M. Reynolds, his sisters, Kate Alford, Linda Fuzy, Alma Lesley (John), Ellen Hartsell (James), his brother Charles Reynolds (Pat), his Aunt, Rachel Shornack (Robert), three children, Pamela Biscoe (Greg Pearson), Debra Woodard (Dale) and Timothy Reynolds (Melissa), eighteen grandchildren, Cynthia Naessig (Kyle), Stephanie Miles (Caleb), Tonia Smith, Dana Reynolds, Jessica Ammerman (William), Melisssa Parker (Bobby), Kristine Allen (Tim), Theresa Woodard, Michael Reynolds, Brittany Woodard, Jason Jordan, Ivan Jordan (Mechelle); great grandchildren, Skylar and Jaden Miles, Ian and Zachary Naessig, Christopher Smith, Gavin, Lauren and Katelynn Parker, Logan Reynolds, Avalynn Ammerman, Blaine Allen, Jade and Caleb Jordan and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the Woodlawn Baptist Church, 3512 Virginia Street, Hopewell, VA and where funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Monday, February 6, 2012 with Rev. Kenneth Hendricks officiating. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park. Arrangements by the Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA.
