Obituary of Francis Keith Treaster

Francis Keith Treaster, affectionately known as "Keiky Weiky", passed away peacefully after a lifelong illness at his home on April 1, 2015. His "Momma" and his "Bubba" were at his side. He was the son of Frances and the late Clair E. Treaster, Sr. In addition to his "DADDY", Clair E. Treaster, Sr. he was also predeceased by "SISSY", Judy Price Treaster, and two very special friends, Louanne Emory and Mrs. Agnes Gould. Keith is survived by his devoted and loving mother, Frances Treaster; his brother, Clair "Junie" Treaster, Jr., both of Hopewell; two aunts Alice Walker and Mildred Pleasant and numerous cousins and friends. Born in Petersburg, VA, Keith lived all his life in Hopewell, VA. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Hopewell. His faith and trust in his Lord and savior, shone thru the way he lived and faced life each and every day. He exemplified his Christian witness with happiness, care, thoughtfulness and concern for others. Keith was a loving son, brother and friend to all. He was known and loved by so many and was a friend to everyone whom he had come in contact with through his life. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, April 3, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave. in Hopewell from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The service to celebrate Keith's life will be Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Steve Vornov will officiate. He will be laid to rest beside his "DADDY" in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. Following the interment a reception for family and friends will be at The Optimist Club on Lynchburg St. in Hopewell. Keith's family would like to thank Christine Thomas, his nurse's aide for the loving and compassionate care that she has afforded him.
