Obituary of Mildred Ester Williams

Mildred Ester Williams, 92, of Hopewell went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2013 in the John Randolph Medical Center. Mrs. Williams was retired from Titmus Optical with forty years of service and a member of the Hopewell Church of the Nazarene. Known for her infectious laughter and constant smile, Mildred brought joy to everyone she met. She is survived by two daughters, Esther W. Clarke and Sandra A. Self, a son, James Leslie "Buddy" Williams, five grandsons, Roger Allen Clarke, James Daniel Williams, Brian Keith Williams, Christopher Nicholas Self and Michael Austin Self, three great grandchildren, Olivia Paige Clarke, Justin Williams and Baily Williams. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA with services beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
