Obituary of Milton Franklin Casey

Milton "Mickey" F. Casey, 80, of Hopewell passed away Friday, March 2, 2012 at his home. Mr. Casey was preceded in death by his wife, Betty S. Casey. Mickey was a beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and a friend to everyone he met, an avid fisherman, a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War, a member of the Hopewell VFW, member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, member of the USS Saipan CVL-48 Association, Democratic Party of Virginia and was a retired machinists from Allied Signal. He is survived by two daughters, Sandy Haduck (Michael) and Vickie Casey (Alexa Slonin), two grandchildren, Michael (Erin) and Christopher (Miranda) Haduck, a sister, Cora Scruggs (Robert), a brother, Paul David Casey, also nieces, nephews and his four legged grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA and where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, March 6, 2012 with Rev. Alexa Slonin officiating. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
