John was an old soul. He would have been a pirate or a statesman in another life. He was my boss and then became my friend. I only today learned of his passing. It is a sad day but will be made brighter by my remembering his satirical comments, our adventures and his lack of fear in telling anyone the truth ... May we meet again in Heaven...

I worked with John for several years at Goldschmidt Chemical Corporation. John was a wonderful and gentle man. He was so respectful to me and I adored him and his kindness. Other than my own husband, I have never known a man that loved his wife as much as John loved Joan. What a love story the two of them experienced. My heart goes out to you, Joan. I know how much this hurts. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I met John around 2001 while working in the Shenandoah valley. He was a fun guy to work with and he told it like it was. He was helpful in educating me on seeds and would go out of his way to make sure I had what I needed for customers on a "need it right now, John" situation. It was a great pleasure to run into John again in his newest career move on the east side of the mountains. Working for NRCS allowed us to cross paths now and again and his smile and greeting was always welcomed.. John will be missed but he certainly left an impact on agricutlure in Va. RIP friend.

Remembering John from his time at Goldschmidt Chemical.
On many a day John & Fred Gilley would have the lunchroom rolling with laughter.
I imagine them reunited in the next life, laughing so hard it sounds like rolling thunder. They were a special breed of larger-than-life men.
Sending his family & friends wishes for peace and comfort found in the memories of days gone by.

I am a coworker of John's with the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation. John had the same job title as me; Nutrient Management Specialist.
He came across as a great guy where his wit and sense of humor was only surpassed by his heart and compassion for others.
While I never had the opportunity to know John really well I still consider him a friend and his passing is a loss to me and my other coworkers. The greatest characteristic of John that I admired and appreciated the most was his ability to "tell it like it is" without beating around the bush.
My heart and prayers go out to his family and may memories of John sustain you in the coming days and weeks ahead. We are all blessed to have known John Fallon

John was down to the ground a best friend. You knew where you stood with John, and whatever John said was 100% weather you liked it or not. John will be missed but never forgotten.

All I had to ever say to make John crack up was "where we gonna hunt?".
I met John when he worked for Hoffman Seeds. I was the Ciba/Novartis/Syngenta sales rep in western VA from 1995 - 2005, and was transferred to NK Seeds when John left them to work for Huber. We did a lot of meetings and sales activities together. He was a great business partner for those years. We had a lot of fun. He was just a great guy. I loved him like a brother. Rest in peace my friend.
