Obituary of Dorothy Rayner

Dorothy Ann Rickman Rayner, 72, of Hopewell went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Annie James and Billie Boyd Rickman, Sr. Dorothy is preceded in death by her brothers, Billie "Buck" Rickman, Jr. and David Lee Rickman and a sister, Thelma Stewart Sanford. Dorothy is survived by her son, Raymond Robert Parenteau II (Deborah); her daughter, Angela Rayner Conley; two grandchildren, Eleanor "Ellie" Grace Conley and Evan Gregory Conley; her brother, Frank Thomas Rickman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to name. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave in Hopewell. Her celebration of life will be on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Final rest will follow in Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Hopewell, The American Lung Association or any charity of your choice.
