Obituary of Edward "Ed" King Bradley

Edward King Bradley, 79 years old, a husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on November 3, 2023, at home in South Chesterfield, Virginia. Ed was born February 23, 1944, in Kingsport, Tennessee, the son of James and Charcie (Hyden) Bradley. Ed graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 1961, and subsequently earned a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1965. After college Ed entered the United States Navy which took him to Biloxi, Mississippi, where his first child, Rachel Kathleen was born. After leaving the Navy Ed was hired by Allied Chemical Corporation bringing him to Chester, VA, and the birth of his second child, Richard King. Ed spent his entire career with Allied/Honeywell. He married Rose Henshaw Harris in 1980, and with his two children and Rose’s two daughters, Kelly and Stacey created a new and dynamic family. Ed is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Rose; children, Rachel Bradley Logan, Richard (Christine) Bradley, Kelly Harris, and Stacey (Ray) Sommerfeld; grandchildren, Nathan and Erin Logan, Katie (Aleks) Kalman, Megan and Calden Sommerfeld, Robert, Zachary and Randall Gardiner; and brother, Dick (Kay) Bradley. He is preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Brendan Logan.
