Obituary of Robert Gene Johnston

Robert Gene Johnston Sr. passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday May 31st, 2023. He was born June 12,1938. He was proceeded in death by his parents Frank C and Louise Woltz Johnston, five brothers George E, Frank C, Julian A, James W, and Herbert P and five sisters Mary L Johnston, Margret J Plugradt, Nellie J Castleberry, Annie L Johnston, and Virginia Whittle. Robert is survived by son Robert Jr. (Vicki), 2 granddaughters and 3 great grandchildren. His longtime companion and love Priscilla Adams. Brothers Herman L and Richard T and his closest nephews George “Junie” Johnston and Charles Johnston along with numerous nieces , nephews and extended family. Robert spent his life beginning as a crane operator for Castle Equipment, later owned a hauling business and has spent the past 20 years as head of security for Colonial Ford trucks. His hobbies included his love for Bluegrass and Gospel Music. Enjoyed reading, especially about World War II and Classic TV. A private memorial will be held later.
