Obituary of Karl Cleveland Brammer

BRAMMER, Karl Cleveland, Jr.; 84 of Hopewell, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 after an extended illness with Alzheimer’s. Karl was born in Flattop, West Virginia, and was the son of Karl Cleveland Brammer, Sr. and Edna Grace Lilly. Karl settled in Hopewell after being honorably discharged from the United States Navy. Upon retirement from Hercules Plant of 30 years, he moved to Hertford, North Carolina with his wife JoElla. Karl was a man of many talents and interests from working on old tractors to mowing grass, fishing, boating and gardening. He loved the outdoors. Karl is proceeded in death by his wife JoElla Brammer of forty years and three children, Tammy Brammer (daughter), Teresa Creech (step-daughter) and Richard (Ricky) Rose (step-son). Karl is survived by five children Gracie Brammer, Robin Harvell (Jeff), Kimberly Moehn (Rob), Timmy Brammer (Shannon), and Karl Cleveland Brammer, III (Mercy). Three step-children Greg Rose (Shirley), Robbie Rose (Kim), Valerie Summerfield (Keith). Karl had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family extends a special thank you Magnolias of Chesterfield for all the loving care he received from all the nurses. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
