Obituary of Bob Savage

Bob Savage, 72, of Chester, VA., passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 26, 2012 after a valiant battle with cancer. Originally from North Carolina, he moved to Virginia where he resided in Colonial Heights, Prince George, Matoaca and finally settled in the Enon area of Chesterfield County. He was an Allied Signal retiree and a member Matoaca United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Anne Vest Savage; stepsons, David J. Roane, Jr., and Robert L. Roane, both of Chester; sisters, Vivian Harris, of Colonial Heights, and Dorothy Harris, of Tarboro, NC; grandchildren, Robert Lamar Roane, Joshua David Roane, Sarah Elizabeth Roane, Rebekah Marie Roane, David J. Roane III, and Grace Yvonne-Louise Roane; great grandchildren, Aden James Seruby, Jacob Alexander Roane and Conner Samuel Roane; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8 PM, Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home, Gould Chapel, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA., and where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Interment will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Matoaca United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
