Obituary of Armand Gagne

Armand E. Gagne, 85, of Hopewell passed away on Thursday, January 08, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Phyllis; his daughter, Ellyn (Brian) Atkinson; his sons, Robert J. (Anita) and Bruce J. (Bronwyn) Gagne; stepson, Joseph (Susana) Lemieux; step daughter, Tamera Lemieux; a brother, Richard Gagne; sister, Constance Howe and 10 grandchildren. Armand was a retiree of the United States Army and a civil servant with combined federal service tenure of over 47 years and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Armand also volunteered at John Randolph Medical Facility and the Hopewell Auxiliary Police. His most cherished hobbies were singing in his church choir, computers and spending time with his love, Phyllis. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N 6th Ave, Hopewell, VA 23860. His funeral service will be at 11 A.M. on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Church of the Sacred Heart, 9300 Community Lane, South Prince George, VA 23805. Full honors military interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate.
