Obituary of Richard Omer Beaudet
Richard Omer "Dick" Beaudet went to be with our Lord Tuesday May 28, 2013. Dick was born on January 17, 1933 in Woonsocket, RI. He moved to Hopewell VA in 1953. In 1959, he moved to Prince George to marry his soul mate and begin his new family. Dick was a cherished, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. He is survived by the love of his life, Janet Basile Beaudet, his four sons and their wives, Joseph and Debra Beaudet, Thomas and Deborah Beaudet, Michael and Elizabeth Beaudet, Richard and Mona Beaudet, 11 grandchildren, Kristine, Allison, Nicholas, Christopher, Alec, Karena, Austin, Matthew, Laura, Jessica and Katelyn Beaudet and 2 great grandchildren Mackenzie and Jaxon He is also survived by several close cousins Suzanne Beaudet Campbell and Robert Beaudet, Toni Lemoine, Paula Andreozzi, Elizabeth Badwey. After graduating from Providence College in 1953 with a BS in Chemistry, Dick began his career at Allied Chemical in Hopewell. He taught HS Chemistry briefly in Hopewell in 1970 before joining American Filtrona Corporation where he worked until retiring in 1998. After retiring, Dick enjoyed buying, building and repairing clocks. He was an active member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. The visitation will be at Church of the Sacred Heart in New Bohemia Thursday night May 30, from 6 to 7 PM followed by a Christian Wake service from 7 to 8 PM. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be at Church of the Sacred Heart in New Bohemia at 11:00 AM Friday May 31, followed by interment in the Church Cemetery.
