Obituary of Raymond Alan Muller

Muller, Raymond Alan, 52, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, October 28, 2013, in Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born June 23, 1961, in Petersburg, VA, son of George R. and Veronica Marschner Muller of Hopewell, VA. Raymond was Director of Quality and Manufacturing for the Troy Group, Wheeling, WV, and a Catholic by faith. He graduated from VA Tech with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1983. Raymond worked as a Chemical Engineer for Hercules Inc., in Hopewell, VA, from 1983-1985 and also in Brunswick, GA, from 1985-1987. Raymond worked for Engelhard Corporation near Tallahassee, FL, from 1987-1994, and from 1995-2002, he worked for Columbian Chemicals Company in Proctor, WV, and 2002 to the present he worked for The Troy Group in Wheeling, WV. He also was an avid golfer. In addition to his parents and his Aunt Viola of Arlington, VA, he is survived by brothers and sisters, Steve G. Muller (Dreama), of Midlothian, VA, Ken R. Muller (Judy), of Gum Spring, VA, Don E. Muller, of Prince George, VA, Jan Shreckhise (Steve), of Weyers Cave, VA, Doug Muller (Debra), Orlean, VA, Barbara Prillaman (Cliff), of Powhatan, VA, and Carolyn Spence (Paul), of Midlothian, VA, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ray was known for his infectious laugh and was always up for a drink with friends and game of golf. Services will be at the Memorial Funeral Home, 214 North 6 Ave, Hopewell, VA, 23860 (804.458.6377) on November 2 at 2pm with visitation following until 5pm.
