Wilson Gene Thompson

Wilson "Gene" Thompson, Sr., 81, of Prince George passed away on Thursday, August, 10, 2017 at his residence surrounded by the loving presence of his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Eugene and Nancy Kay Thompson and his loving wife of 57 years, Velma Ann Thompson. He is survived by his son, W. "Bubba" Thompson, Jr. (Kathy); two daughters, Valorie "Sissy" Rickman (Greg), Rene Thompson (James Bussinger); two grandchildren, James E. Trexler, Jr., Jeff Thompson; two great grandchildren, Jaden A. Trexler, Grace Marie Thompson; five step grandchildren; a step great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens (11302 Merchants Hope Rd., N. Prince George 23860) for Gene's graveside ceremony.
