William Eldon Compton

William Eldon Compton, 35, of Prince George passed away suddenly on Monday, January 23, 2017. He is preceded death by his parents, John David Compton, Sr. and Carolyn Ann Compton Slagle; his grandfather, Eldon (Ikie) Compton and an uncle, Larry Wayne Compton. William is survived by his brothers, sisters, grandmother, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and the rest of his family and friends. William was born in Prince George (Petersburg) VA on Wednesday, January 28, 1981 where he was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Prince George High School and continued his education at Richard Bland College. William was a tremendous caregiver who enjoyed life to the fullest, loved his family, friends, hunting, fishing and his "babies" (his dogs). The family will receive friends on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave in Hopewell City. His graveside ceremony will be on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Southlawn Memorial Park 1911 Birdsong Rd., Prince George Va 23805.
