Verona Frances Okum

OKUM, Verona Frances, 86, of Hopewell went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was the daughter of Henry and Rosa McCulley and was raised by her beloved, Eola Frances Duck. Verona is preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Otto B. Okum; daughter, Darlene Carey and sister, Mary Constenbader. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Okum; four sons, Otto Okum, Jr., Robert Okum, Daniel Okum and Randy Okum; granddaughters, Katherine, Shannon, Tamara, Dawn, Misty; brother, John Lee McCulley and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Verona was a lifetime resident of Hopewell and retired from Allied Signal Tech Center. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory, 214 N. 6th Ave in Hopewell. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the funeral home. Final rest will be in Bermuda Memorial Park.
