Thomas Vernon Ashworth

Thomas Ashworth, 75, of Hopewell, VA, passed away December 22, 2020 due to complications following surgery. Tom was a lifelong resident of Hopewell, Virginia and was the son of Mertie Denson Ashworth and Charlie Lawrence Ashworth. Tom was a Master Electrician who worked for 55+ years in southern Virginia and North Carolina, retiring from Colonial Webb in 2016. He was committed to community service, donating extensive time to restoration and electrical projects benefiting veterans, Weston Manor and the Hopewell American Legion. Tom is survived by his daughter Angelique Liskey and husband Scott of New Market, VA; Natalie Lambert and husband Scott of Pace, FL; a sister Jeanne Greb and a brother Jerry Lee Ashworth. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Nadine Ashworth and his siblings Buford Ashworth, Linda Brooks, David Ashworth and Irene Johnson. Tom was a beloved son, brother, father and grandfather. The family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date. Any donations in Tom’s honor can be made to the American Legion Post # 146, Hopewell, VA.
