Steve Delane Brown

Steve Delane Brown, 79, of Hopewell passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Steve Brown, Sr. and Pearl Boyd Brown; 2 sons, Roger Lane Brown and Vincent James Brown; and his loving wife of 55 years, Helen F. Brown. Steve is survived by his grandson, Vincent Ronald Brown (Madison); granddaughter, Somer Delane Brown; daughter in law, Rhonda Lovern Brown; Brother, Vincent Allen Brown; sister in law, Callie Shannon, Janie Ramsey; special canine friend, Jake and feline friend, Missy. Steve proudly worked with the fire department of Hopewell for 38 years serving 10 as the chief and was a member of Fraternal Order of Police. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and was involved with the Boys and Girls Club and was president of Powell's Creek Hunt Club. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 9 to 10 a.m. at Unity Baptist Church, 4951 Mt. Sanai Rd., Prince George VA, 23875. Steve's celebration of life ceremony will be at 10 a.m. in the church. Final rest will conclude in Appomattox Cemetery.
