Shirley W. Casey

Shirley W. Casey, 71, of Hopewell, passed away on Saturday March 7, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Casey; a son, Roy N. Weaver; and her parents Lawrence A. and Vivian Poythress Moody. Shirley was a retired operator from Honeywell formerly Allied Chemical B plant and was a remarkable woman who was dedicated to her family and loved them without measure. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye and her face would light up every time they came into her presence. She loved to cook and her rolls were the talk of everyone. She will be sorely missed. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Vickie R. Rexroad and husband, Michael, Jr.; her son, Hubert L. Weaver and wife, Denise; grandchildren, Victoria Hubbard, Kaleb Gage Fury, Melinda and Mazie Rexroad, Tabitha Martin, Tiffany, Brandon, Vanessa, Justin, Kenneth Weaver, Jennifer Zittle and husband, Garrett; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Alton Moody; and 2 nieces. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service Chapel from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
