Sendella M. Collins

Sendella Mary Collins, 94, of Hopewell went to be with The Lord and reunited with her husband in Glory on Monday, March 5, 2018. Sendella is preceded in death by her parents, Harry S. and Pasqualena Silvestro Moogalian; brothers, Victor, Anthony and Charles Moogalin; and her loving husband of 36 years, Raymond T. Collins, Sr. She is survived by her children, Pasqualena Woods (Christopher) and Raymond T. Collins, Jr. (Veronica); grandchildren, Sendella King, Rebecca Stallings, Michelle Upton, Sarah Blevins, Ellen Farmer, Christopher S. Woods, Jr., Jessica Pollard, Melissa Shelburne, Eddie Shelburne, Mandy Fleenor, Lindsey Lipsey; 21 great grandchildren (with one on the way); sister, Marian Doucette and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sendella was a member of St. James Catholic Church and St. James Armenian Church and in Beta Sigma Phi sorority. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N 6th Ave in Hopewell. Sendella's Christian Mass will be conducted by Fr. Julio Buena on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in St. James Catholic Church, 510 W Poythress St. in Hopewell. Final rest will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Chester. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
