Samuel Vick

Samuel "Tommy" Vick passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel B. Vick and Gracie Lee McCount; wife, Beverly Vick; two sisters, Donna L. Russell and Grace M. Smith. Tommy was a veteran of the United States Army and saw service in Viet Nam with A Co. 121st Signal Bn. 1st Infantry Division. He was a loving father and grandfather. He adored his grandchild and she would always put a twinkle in his eyes. Tommy is survived by his son, Samuel T. Vick, Jr.; sisters, Melissa Furrow and Patricia Ritchey; brothers, David C. Vick, Milton "Pete" Vick and Richard Toller; his granddaughter, Samantha Vick; step children, Christina Blick, Dawn Robinette, Brad Barnes, Brian Leitch and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave Hopewell on Wednesday January 7, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Thursday January 8, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
