Peggy Belton Young

Peggy Belton Young, 72, of Disputanta passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, the late Jesse and Arbutus Webb Belton; a son, Jerry L. Young; brother, Jesse Belton, Jr and sister, Mary Belton Smith. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 55 years, Ronald George Young, Jr.; her sons, Richard Young, Gary Young , Kenneth Young; daughter-in-law's, Rhonda Rusnak, Carrie McClanahan; four grandchildren, Kayla Young, Edward Rusnak, Ryan Young-McClanahan, Shawn Young-McClanahan; great granddaughter, Kaidence Trostad; sister, Betty Branch; brother, Jerry Belton and many cousins, nieces, nephews and devoted friends. Peggy was a beautiful soul who touched so many lives in ways she could never imagine. She loved to dance "back in her haydays", playing cards, singing and spending time with family and friends enjoying life. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N.6th Ave in the historic city of Hopewell. Her funeral ceremony will be on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Final rest will conclude in Appomattox Cemetery.
