Norman Gerald Ellis

Norman "Jerry" Gerald Ellis, 74, of Hopewell passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 in the Medical College of Virginia. Jerry was a U.S. veteran serving in the Air National Guard during the Korean War and a member of the Prince George Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Peggy C. Ellis, a son, Jay N. Ellis and wife, Beverly, two granddaughters, Taylor and Tamara Ellis, a great grandson, Carter Nuckols, two brothers, Richard T. Ellis and wife, Pat, and Donnie Ellis, a sister, Linda Wright and husband, Bert, also numerous other family members. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, March 1, 2012 in Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA with Rev. Lewis Garrett officiating.
