Nonie May Whittington

Nonie May Emory Whittington, 74, of Matoaca passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Whittington attended the Church of God, Blackstone, VA and was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Viola Mitchell Emory and her daughter, Darlene Whittington. She is survived by her husband, Dean Whittington, three daughters, Nancy Whittington Curtis (Rye), Donna Staton (Dell) and Deborah Whittington Malbone (Kevin), five grandchildren, Nicole Stull, Richard Davis, Heather Wilson, Kristen and Katelyn Malbone, two brothers, Joe and James Emory and her sister, Jean Klootwyk. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Memorial Funeral Home-Gould Chapel, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA and where funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 1, 2012 with Rev. Mark Stewart officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bon Secours Hospice, 8580 Magellan Parkway, Richmond, VA 23227.
