Myrtle Christine Gray

Myrtle Christine Gray, 83, of Hopewell went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 28, 2017. She is the daughter of the late Rev. Jonah G. and Mary Nobles Perry. Christine is also preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Lamar Gray; grandson, Christopher Traylor, Step children, Bud Outlaw and LaMar Gray and sister, Mary Harper. She is survived by her son, James Outlaw (Karen); her daughter, Teresa White (Troy); step son, Luther Gray; grandchildren, Christopher Outlaw (Meredith), Jonathan Outlaw (Rachel), Logan Outlaw, Amanda Outlaw, Kierstyn Gray; great grandchildren, Avery and Anniston; nephew, Perry Harper (Diane) and their daughter, Jessica. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave in Hopewell. Christine's funeral service will be on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Thurman Collier officiating. Final rest will be In Appomattox Cemetery.
