Matilda Katherine Harris Kisner, 90, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 in the Hopewell Health Care Center. Mrs. Kisner was preceded in death by her husbnd, Arthur Paul Kisner, four sisters, Beatrice, Dorothy, Beulah and Thelma, a great great grandson, Nathan Smith and a son-in-law, Michael Melnyk, Jr. Matilda was a member of Powers Memorial Baptist Church in Hopewell. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda K. Mann (Thomas), Judy K. Melnyk and a sister, Delsie Larison, seven grandchildren, Cathy Pack (Dale), Donna Moody, Melissa Melnyk, Thomas Mann, Jr., Michael Melnyk III, Michele Melnyk (Dean) and Mindy Petit, twelve great grandchildren, Dale Marie Vaughan (Joe), David Smith (Ashley), Emily Harder (Steven), Joshua Jenkins, Jarrod Oellerich, Michael Melnyk IV, Christina Pack, Kaitlyn Oellerich, Heath Pack, Jacob Petit, Megan Petit and Mykayla Melnyk and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, September 21, 2012 in Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Dr.Robert Breckenridge officiating. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to Powers Memorial Baptist Church, 2807 Jackson Street, Hopewell, VA 23860.
