Marilee W. Denner

Marilee W. Denner, 88, of Prince George, passed away on Friday February 14, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Col. John W. Wester and wife Elizabeth Kreig Wester and the widow of Col. William H. Denner. Marilee was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother especially to her grandchildren. She was a WWII Veteran with the Women's Army Nursing Corps, an active member of the Friendship Forces, Ft. Lee Soldiers Choir, Girl Scouts, was a world traveler, expert Seamstress, had an intense interest in people, loved gardening, sewing, and was an avid reader. She is survived by her son: William H. Denner III, daughters; Mary Linda Polydys (Bruce), Teresa L. Denner (Michael Pannewitz), Betsy Parsons (Trey), Katey Denner (Kurt Breitenbach), 11 terrific grandchildren, 11 special great grandchildren, and 2 adorable cats. A graveside service will be held Friday February 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Southlawn Memorial Park, interment will follow. The family would like to express their heart felt appreciation to the staff at Crater Community Hospice and Brighter Living for all of their loving care and devotion to their mother.
