Margie G Cole

Margie Gardner Cole, 85, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Sallie Harris Joyner; son, Johnny Jr; sisters, Mary Warren and Dorothy Freeman; brother, James Joyner and her loving husband of over 60 years, Stancil Cole. Margie is survived by her children, Patricia Hilliker, Beverly Smith (Bob), Butch Cole (Sue), Timmy Cole (Sandy), Sandra Ross (Doug), Amanda Rollison (Chance); 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters, Joyce O'Berry and Rosie James; brother, Richard Joyner and many nieces nephews and cousins. Margie was a member of Hopewell Women of the Moose. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave in Hopewell. Margie's funeral ceremony will be on Friday, September, 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Final rest will be in Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Memorial Funeral Home in Margie's name for funeral expenses.
