Margaret M. Drew

Margaret M. Drew, 83, of both Charles City and Richmond, Virginia, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, John H. Drew. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Drew was also preceded in death by Hazel Barley, Sparrow Bradley, and Mr. Dickens. Margaret attended school in both Charles City and Richmond, and after graduating was employed as a beautician. She worked in the industry for 35 years and was the owner of Drew Beauty Salon. Margaret was also a member of the Hair Professional Association. In addition to doing hair, Margaret enjoyed cooking, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was a private duty nurse and spent many hours volunteering at local hospitals. Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother as well as a loyal friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family remembers her as being strong and dedicated to the end. Margaret is survived by her children, Maurice Drew, of Washington, D.C., Regan Drew, of Hopewell, and Monte Drew, of Hopewell; granddaughter, Joilena Drew; three sisters; four brothers; and a host of nieces and cousins. All services will be private.
