Lloyd L. Mason

Lloyd Leonard Mason, Jr. 66 died, September 15, 2014. He was born in Smithfield, VA on June 12, 1948 a son of the late Lloyd L. Mason, Sr. and Helen Wilson Addison Mason. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert W. Mason. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Evelyn C. Mason and his children Rebecca Hart (David); Deborah Lowman (Philip); Timothy Choate (Emily); Jennifer Mason (Dennis Faile); Lloyd L. Mason III (Lydia); one brother John Marcus; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and Papaw. Lloyd also served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a avid fishermen and boater who loved spending time on the Eastern Shore. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm. Friday, September 19, 2014, at Appomattox Cemetery in Hopewell, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory, 214 N. 6th Avenue Hopewell, VA 23860.
