Leonard Meier

Leonard A. Meier, Jr., 85, of Taylorsville, North Carolina, formerly of Prince George, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nora Evans and Leonard A. Meier, Sr.; his loving wife of 40 years, Charlotte Fenn Meier; three sisters, Elaine, Goldie and Joy Ann; and 2 children, Linda Wheeler and David Lamberson. Leonard is survived by his daughter, Judy Bailey (Michael); son, Dan Lamberson; special niece, Nora McMahon; devoted friend, Barbara Allen; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson and many other nieces and nephews. Leonard was retired from the U.S. Army in 1968 and Christian & Barton LLP after many years. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue in Hopewell. Leonard's funeral ceremony will be at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
