James Robert Wilson

James Robert Wilson, 82, of McKenny passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at his home. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Mancel P. and Maysel L. Wilson, brother, Paul Wilson, sister, Mary Pauline Stiles and three daughters, Edna L. Wilson, C. Diane Weisheim and Roberta K. Heard. James was a retired U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean and Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Frances Louise Wilson, a son, Robert P. Wilson (Kim), two daughters, Leila C. Brieling (George) and Joyce D. Johnson ( Timothy), two brothers, Charles H. Wilson and David L. Wilson (Kitty), 13 grandchildren, Mark E. Wilson (Diane), Crystal Perkins (Davey), Tammy Biers, Anthony Dickinson, Robert A. Wilson (Jessie), John J. Heard, Jr. (Patricia), Debbie, Donna, William and Eric Heard, Anthony Brieling (Stephanie), Joan J. Fleshman and Jeffrey M. Johnson, 19 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, cousin, Richard Frush and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Memorial Funeral Home- Gould Chapel, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, February 16, 2013 in the Appomattox Cemetery with Rev. Ted Owens officiating.
