Gorden William Hylton

Gorden William Hylton, Jr., found rest on Thursday September 26, 2013 at his residence in Hopewell. Gorden was born in Colorado Springs, CO. on April 27, 1968 to Gorden Sr., and Deanna Hylton. He attended school in Okinawa, Japan, Prince George County, and Hopewell High School graduating in 1986, and worked for many years in the environmental field (VEOLIA). Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; Gorden Sr., and Deanna Hylton, a son; Gorden William Hylton III, three brothers; Kevin Mark Hylton (Arlene), of Chester, Darryl Jermaine Hylton (Amber), James Anthony Hylton of Hopewell, sisters; DeEtta Jones (Richard) of Chesterfield, Dionne Phillips (John) of Huntsville, AL., half-brother; Quentin of GA., half-sister; Quinnetta of TN, aunt: Aundrea Rouff (Willie) of Gretna, uncle; Jeffery Dottson (Lawon) of Colorado Springs, great aunts; Frances Hall, Charylene Clark of Gretna, Carnell Walker, Reva Thompson of Martinsville, great uncles; Swanson Bennett, J.C. Hunt of Gretna, host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who loved him very much. The family will receive friends at Memorial Funeral Home Gould Chapel in Hopewell Monday September 30 from 5 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 1, at 1:00 PM in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Hopewell with interment to follow in Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
