Smith, Gertrude B, age 87, died Friday, December 9, 2001. She was predeceased by her Husband, James Leroy Smith, four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her Daughter, Monika Smith, of Petersburg, 2 Grandchildren, Tina Smith and Lorrie Smith , both of Hopewell, 3 Great Grandchildren, Ashlee Lively and Britnee Lively , both of Hopewell, Jasmine Bagnall, of Dinwiddie, 1 Great Great Grandson, Derrick Christiana of Hopewell. Many nieces and nephews. She was retired from Supersub, and was a Member of the American Legion Post in Hopewell and Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 PM , Monday December 12, 2011 , at Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, Virginia and where Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at the funeral home. Reverend Kenneth L. Hendricks Officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia.
