Fred T. Farmer

Fred Tennyson Farmer, Jr., 77, of Hopewell went to be with The Lord on Saturday, October 27, 2018. He is preceded in death by parents, Fred T. Farmer, Sr. and Laura Louise Lanier Farmer and his sister-in-law and longtime caregiver, Carol H. Farmer. Fred is survived by his brothers, Benjamin O. Farmer (Joyce), Donald R. Farmer (Glenda) and Durwood Farmer. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave in Hopewell City. Fred's funeral ceremony will be on November 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Final rest will be in Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Waverly Health and Rehab Center – Recreation Fund, 456 E. Main St., Waverly, VA 23890.
