Evelyn Mason

Evelyn "Abby" Mason, 65, of Prince George passed away on the evening of Thursday, July 9, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dora and Lawrence White and her loving husband of 41 years, Lloyd L. Mason, Jr. Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Hart (David), Deborah Lowman (Philip), Jennifer Scott (Dennis Faile); her sons, Timothy Choate (Emily), Lloyd Mason, III (Lydia); 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Rosa Harrell and Clara Haskett and her lifelong friend Jeanette. Evelyn was a loving and caring mother who loved selflessly. She enjoyed the beach and fishing and had an amazing talent for arts and crafts. She loved to cook and would battle any one arm bandit that would cross her path. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory, 214 N. 6th Avenue in Hopewell. Evelyn's graveside service will take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Appomattox Cemetery.
