Elmer Ernest Farley

Elmer Ernest Farley, 95 died, September 30, 2014. He was born in Summers Co. West Virginia on June 28, 1919 a son of the late Josiah and Evelyn Farley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Trecia L. Farley; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his children, Earl Farley; Ronnie Farley (Vickie ); Dale Farley ; grandchildren, Angela Tweed; Bobby Farley; Heather Folk; Matthew Farley; Joanna Farley; and 5 great-grandchildren, a sister Shirley Mills, and one brother, Elden Farley. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Elmer also served his country during World War II, serving with the United States Army in the European Theater. A chapel service will be held 2:00 pm. Friday, October 3, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory, 214 N. 6th Avenue Hopewell, VA 23860. Burial will follow in Appomattox Cemetery in Hopewell, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Memorial Funeral & Crematory. In Lieu of Flowers donation may be made to VFW Post 637 Hopewell, Va.
