Elfriede Elisabeth Jackson, 87, born in Gumbsweiler, Germany, but resided in Hopewell passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Jackson was a waitress at the Ft. Lee Officers Club for seventeen years and received a certificate of appreciation from the U.S. Army. She is survived by her husband, James Jackson, seven daughters, Edith Love (Therman), Inge Ham, Ute Pope (James), Luise Jackson, Vadis Meadows, Jackie Fuller and Tina Taylor (Gregory), three sisters, fifteen grandchildren; Norman, Eric and Jerome Love, Kevin Groves, Stephanie Pope and James Pope, Jr., Michelle Reyes, Nina Holmes, Tiffany and Christina Meadows, Jerry Meadows, Jr., Candice Fuller, Nicholas, Tia and Nylan Taylor, twelve great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Memorial Funeral Home- Gould Chapel, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA and where funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
