Edward Lynn Radford

Edward Lynn Radford, 77 passed away, September 30, 2014. He was born in North Carolina on November 16, 1936 a son of the late Charlie and Ora Radford. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Eleanor M. Radford; a daughter, Patsy R. Fredrick; sisters, Marlene Clary; Gertie Mullen; Florine Satterfield; brothers, Roy; Elbert; Vern and Y.C. Radford. He is survived by his children, Becky Gorkiewicz; Laura Reilly and Murphy Radford; sisters, Ann Fleming; Linda Hawthorne; Mae Edwards; Ruby Rickard; grandchildren, Michael Hughes; Christian Frederick; Crystal Stephenson; Jenna Grubbs; Justin; Matthew and Daniel Reilly; great-grandchildren, Dakota Harris; Macie Grubbs; Lauren and Kiley Stephenson; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Edward was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. He was retired from Allied Chemical with over 32 years of service. He loved fishing, hunting and had a passion for country music. A chapel service will be held 11:00 am. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory, 214 N. 6th Avenue Hopewell, VA 23860. Burial will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens in Prince George Co. VA. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. Saturday, October 4, 2014.
