Edward Henry Lewis

Edward "Eddie" H. Lewis, Jr., 79, passed away January 17, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward H. Lewis, Sr. and Irma P. Lewis. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Diann; his daughters, Tammy and Cristy; son in law, Barry Bayes, Sr.; two grandchildren, Barry Jr. and Kimi; sisters, Marilyn Long and Dorothy Phillips. Eddie loved his family and spending his time tending to his family farm in Sussex, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory, 214, N. 6th Ave in Hopewell. His funeral ceremony will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Final rest will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hopewell Humane Society 3412 Oaklawn Blvd. Hopewell VA 23860 in honor of Eddie.
