Doris Frances Boyette Jones Shields, 80, of Hopewell went to be with The Lord on April, 24, 2018. She was the daughter of Walter L. and Lucy Daniels Boyette. Doris is also preceded in death by her children's father, Delma E. Jones and her second husband, John Ray Shields; step father, John W. Brooks; step mother, Lessie Williams Boyette; granddaughter, Jessica Daniel; siblings, Sarah B. Whisenant, Clara B. Morse, Gladys B. Iaricci Forehand, Paul Boyette, Marian Campbell, David C. Boyette and Mills Boyette. She was a lifelong church member of First Congressional Christian Church where she was baptized at 10 years of age and attended throughout her life. Doris worked at Allied Chemical Fibers Division for 32 years. She enjoyed work and made many friends. Doris had 15 brothers and sisters in a blended family that grew up in a loving and peaceful family with the Mama's and Daddy's loving all the children. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother survived by her children, Judy Jones Carlsile, Bruce E. Jones (Faith), Teresa Daniel, Brian E. Jones (Pat Niedmayer)(Patti Roberts-Jones) and Denise C Jones (Wayne Randolph)( Martin R. Saluck);grandchildren, Justin Hale (Jenny), Christopher B. Jones (Beth), Wesley Jones (Jessie), Gregory Saluck and Jason Jones (Natelie); Great grandchildren, Madalyn E. Jones, Isaiah M. Saluck, McKensie M. Jones, Emma Jones, Tyler Jones, Carter Jones, Lainey Jones, Talon Hale, Reed Hale, Damien Saluck, Morgan Jones and Levi Jones; siblings, Magdalene Boyette Jones, Elsie Brooks Johnson, Naomi B. Jenkins, Rachel B. Rollins, Richard Boyette, Joseph Boyette and Jacob Boyette; and to many nieces and nephews to list them all but Peter, Marie and Bobby who were just as close as her children. The family will receive friends at First Congregational Christian Church in Hopewell (near Memorial Ave and W. Cawson St.) on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. with her funeral ceremony following in the church. Final rest will conclude in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens in Prince George
