Diane Smid-Ogburn

Diane I. Smid-Ogburn, 64, of Sutherland passed away on February 24, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Anthony Ogburn; parents, William V. and Eleonore Mecklenburg Smid; and a brother, Earl W. Smid. Diane was a woman with many talents, as she was very creative and a highly skilled craftsman and seamstress who could make something beautiful out of nothing. She dearly loved her animals, especially her longtime canine companion Chelsea Lynn, and loved to talk and laugh. Diane is survived by her brothers, Roy W. Smid and wife Linda, Donald R. Smid and wife Corinne; nieces, Elaine R. Smid, Teresa L. Smid, Brittany T. Wilson and husband Bobby, and a nephew, Jessie W. Smid. A memorial service will be held at Journey Ministries, 12114 Boydton Plank Road, Dinwiddie VA at 6:30pm on Thursday, March 26. Inurnment will be in Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, Virginia.
