Delmer Boyd Chandler

Rev. Delmer Boyd Chandler, Sr., 73, of Hopewell, passed away on Friday June 16, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virley Willie Chandler, Sr., and Georgie Marie Spangler Chandler and a brother, Buddy Chandler, Jr. Rev. Chandler was a member of The Association of International Gospel Assembles, Inc. and was an ordained minister for 50 years. He retired from Phillip Morris after 20 years of dedicated service. His life was the church and serving God. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria W. Chandler, sons, Delmer Boyd Chandler Jr and fiancée Lisa A. Marshall of King and Queen County, Eric Lee Chandler and wife Lorraine of Varina, sisters, Virginia Sue Yarbrough and husband Robert of Hopewell, Hildaguarde Dias and husband Tom of Hopewell, Granddaughter, Rana M. Chandler of Chesterfield, nieces Melissa Goodman of Hopewell and Jessica Goodman of Chester. The family will receive friends at Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service 214 N 6th Avenue Hopewell on Tuesday June 20, 2017 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM, funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday June 21 at 1:00 PM with Rev.
