Charlotte Mae Dean

Charlotte Mae Frazier Dean, passed away August 27, 2012, surrounded by her loving family and loving son William VanSickle. She is now with her beloved husband Leroy Dean Sr., who passed away June 9, 2011. She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia the sixth child of Henry C. and Cora Mae Hemsley Frazier, she was a longtime resident of Hopewell, Va. and was very active in the Ladies of the Moose of Hopewell,Va., also she was the installing Guide of the New Chapter of the Ladies of the Moose of South Hill, Va. She loved bowling and was involved in the bowling league of Hopewell, Va., but, was most happy as wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Berneice F. Charnock, Hopewell, Va., Karen Sue Robertson, Wheeling, W.Va., and brother Eugene Frazier, Beloxi, Ms. She is survived by two sons, William VanSickle and his wife Joanne, and Leroy Dean, Jr. and his wife Maria; sisters, Mildred F. Kosky, Va.Beach, Kathryn F. Renshaw, Wheeling, W. Va., Sandra F. Rogers, Hay Springs, Ne.; brother, George Frazier, Chatham, Va. grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 PM, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home, Gould Chapel, 214 N. 6th Ave., Hopewell, Va. A graveside funeral service will be held 2:30 PM, Thursday, August, 30, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Va. Contributions may be made to Virginia Hospice.
