Carol Elizabeth Melton

Carol Elizabeth Melton, 80, of Hopewell passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in St. Francis Medical Center. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Obie Fred and Mildred Totty Kelley. Mrs. Melton was a member of the First Baptist Church, she enjoyed gardening and fishing for flounder with her husband on the Eastern Shore. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Joe Melton, two sons, Thomas Fredric Melton and Steven Andrew Melton, daughter, Mona M. Zimble, brother, Crawford Kelley, sister, Mildred Lieder, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA with Rev. Jeff Raymond officiating. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park.
