Bertha Rudolph Conner

Bertha Rudolph Conner, 73, of Disputanta, Virginia, died June 4, 2024. She was born and raised in Hopewell, Va. She was the daughter of the late William and Frances Rudolph. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Bertha had a love of all things Elvis Presley. She was a long-time member of Monumental Baptist Church for many years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Conner was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond Conner, Jr; two sisters, Connie Sears and Frances Johnson; one brother, Frank Zaharek Jr. She is survived by her daughter Yolonda Smith (Steven), of Prince George; daughter Brenda Balbaugh of Disputanta; grandsons Trevor Smith and Timothy Smith, of Prince George; her granddaughter, Clara Conner, of Disputanta; sister Barbara Moore, of Arizona; sister Violet Teat of Alabama; sister Donna Tower, of Texas; as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00pm, Friday June 14, 2024. at the Hopewell Moose Lodge pool-house, with Rev. Duane Guridy, Pastor of Monumental Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be private at a later date.
