Beatrice Mae Jones

Beatrice Mae Jones, 84, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday April 2, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents; Irvin P and Mary Pleasant Crutchfield, her son; Gary Jones, great granddaughter; Jailyn Collins, sisters; Ruth Minter and Ann Livesay. Beatrice was a member of Broadway Baptist Church for 42 years, thought the world of her children and that the sun rose and shone in her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she loved sewing and many other crafts. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Jesse A. Jones, sons; Larry Jones and wife Margaret of Virginia Beach, and Barry Jones of Hopewell, daughter; Cindy Collins and husband Michael of Hopewell, grandchildren; Michelle and Brian Jones, Matthew Moen, Jeremy Jones, Robert, Jason and wife Nicole, Crystal, and Jessica Collins, 10 great grandchildren, sister; Shirley Layne and husband Eddie, brother; David Crutchfield and wife Carla, numerous nieces nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends Monday April 7, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday April 8, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Davis of Broadway Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
