Barbara Jeannette Mccray

Barbara Jeannette McCray, 73, of Hopewell, passed away on Sunday May 11, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mattie Keith Hunt, her loving husband of 38 years, Karl B. McCray, daughter, Katherine Dennis, and grandson Dustin Craig. Barbara retired from K-Mart after 18 years of dedicated service, she loved her children and her grandchildren were the spice in her life, she loved to cook and would never let anyone leave hungry. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God Church for 31 years and was a member of the Women's Ministry. Barbara is survived by her son, Michael B. McCray and wife Connie of Disputanta, daughter, Pamela A. McCray of S. Chesterfield, grandchildren, Amber and Aaron McCray, Patrick Logan, Martin McCray, Brandon Blackmon, Austin and Richard Dennis, Tiffany Craig, Jacob Vick, 3 brothers, 1 sister, numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 14, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home in Hopewell. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday May 15, 2014 at 1:00 PM, with Gibby Elder of Newville United Methodist Church officiating.
